Greeting from Texas!

Hello all I would like to introduce myself. My name is Adam, I acquired a 1990 Suzuki Intruder VS750 about one month ago. The poor bike was in total need of restoration! The previous owner decided (with the help of a good friend) to get totally obliterated on a couple bottles of Jack Daniels   and attempt to break down the bike and give it a "rattle can" paint job. Here in lays the problem. For some great unknown reason the totally disconnected the ENTIRE wiring harness. I mean TOTALLY! If there was some thing to unplug they did it. If there was a bolt or nut that was showing... off it went too! Oh My Oh My!

I have small engine repair knowledge from my youth and with out the help of a trusty repair manual (I ordered online but never came.... still waiting actually) completely re-wired the bike.  Woo Hoo!

I just in-fact got it fired up just a few mins ago. Although probably scared the living hell out of the other tenants in the building... Oh did I for get to mention I am doing all this in the middle of my living room???

Now the next step is putting the whole thing back together again then its off for a test ride.

Looking forward to discussing any issues I might run into and maybe helping solve some of yours!

Oh and if anyone is looking for a PDF version of the repair/maintenance manual I finally found one. I just need to figure out how to post it on here for download. Until then feel free to e-mail me at the address below (reference PDF Intruder file)!

I will post pictures of my progress as soon as I figure out how!

Cheers!

Day 1. Poor Baby!

Day 10. It looks like a bike again! Nothing is bolted down... the wiring is still a bloody mess... Let the games begin!

Day 29. Wiring Harness fixed. Lights working. Attached a funnel with clear tube with a built in shut off valve as a temporary gas tank. (bought at Walmart... $7.00).

Refilled all lines (front break, clutch, oil, coolant). After a bit of priming and new spark plugs and new battery started right up! Notice no mufflers?? She is very loud.
